Are We Live is a class that students can take at UMW. It offers a real world production studio experience as students prepare a live show each week to go out every Tuesday night. Each week the students hold a pitch meeting as to create content for the next weeks show. Once the segments are decided upon, the filming commences and are due by the end of the week. As a part of this class students are pushed to try new things. For this class I have created graphics not only in Canva but also in After effects, created animated intro’s for different segments with Adobe Animate and After Effects, edited different segments using Premier Pro, live hosted an episode, and acted as a last minute prop maker for thos last minute props that needed to be made. This class is a very fast pace real life production environment that gives students a real life experience into the production world.
